About Gavin Burt
The Running Injury Oracle was created by Gavin Burt, a Sports Osteopath, who runs Backs and Beyond, a sports injury clinic in Highgate, North London, England (www.backsandbeyond.co.uk).
Gavin has been treating runners of all abilities for the last 13 years, from beginners, to club runners, to weekend warriors, to world class athletes. His patients have included Paula Radcliffe the current ladies marathon world record holder, Keith Cullen (represented GB in the 2000 Sydney Olympics marathon) and Ben Noad (GB international endurance runner).
Gavin is also a regular consultant to articles in Runners World magazine.
Gavin gives injury prevention talks to groups of runners preparing for the London Marathon, and other marathons in the UK and internationally.
Backs and Beyond was the only official Osteopathic Injury Clinic for the 2008 and 2009 Flora London Marathons.
Gavin is also a long distance runner (club level), and a veteran of 8 marathons.
